tours

Innovo's Conservatory of Physical Theatre hosts troupe tours on an annual basis. These enriching and highly enjoyable tours focus on performances in theatres, churches, schools, prisons, hospitals, the street and market place. In years past our students have toured throughout the United States, Canada, South and Central America, the South Pacific, and both Eastern and Western Europe.

The tours emphasize various forms of church ministry, university lectures, workshops, street work and theatre performances. This allows the student to focus on their development within a community of other young artists. We believe that this can encourage and support our members to become confident performers, educators and artistic thinkers.

If you are interested in applying for a tour you may request an application from our office. Tour applications need to be in before their specific due-date (at least 3 months before the tour commences). Tours last anywhere from 2 to 5 weeks each.

internships

Innovo offers two forms of internships, namely Performance Internships (3rd year students attending) and Student Internships.

Performance Internships involve an organization or church which participates with Innovo's Conservatory of Physical Theatre in hosting a 3rd year student for a period of training. The organization or congregation takes care of the students' basic needs while he or she serves them with the skills they have acquired in the Conservatory of Physical Theatre. Performing, lecturing, sermon-analysis, workshops, an arts proposal, and relationship building are essential aspects of this format or internship.

Student Internships are offered to young adults (17+) wish to study and participate with the Innovo Company for a determined time, i.e. summer interns. These trainees become involved in the performance, training, choreography, advertising, and administration of the Innovo Company. They experience first hand how an arts organization and ministry works on the inside, while they receive specialized training and performing opportunities.
